We participated in the City of Seminole's Holiday Parade with the Dizzy Dean Baseball League. Luke and one other kid were the only T-ball kids represented. But, we had a good time throwing beads to the crowd. Note - December =still in short sleaves in the evening! Ahh, Florida!
This year we saw Santa at H&R Trains. Trains and Santa in one place - does it get any better than that? They had a holiday party down there the whole weekend. It was fun - no lines, good punch and cookies and lots of perusing the holiday train set-ups. We took the boys ice skating for their first time in Tampa at a tent that had a rink set up for the season. It was Matt's first time on skates too! I was amazed I didn't fall over - I have horrible balance and I haven't skated since I was little.
We turned our house into a bakery over this last week while Matt has been home. Matt cooked over 200 cookies and a pecan pie. (Ben and Matt also got the blow torch out to melt the brown sugar on the ham - much to my opposition! - something they saw on a cooking show!). We handed a bunch out to neighbors, but also got so many in return, our house is still loaded down with yummy treats everywhere!
The boys made their annual batch of doggie biscuits for the neighborhood and family dogs. Max knew what we were making and started whining and beginning when we pulled them out of the over. Not sure how he knew with all of the other cookies we made, but he knew the difference!
We had our friends Jenn and Matan over to go look at holiday lights and play board games. This was Luke's outfit for touring the lights - PJ's, fleece jacket and green Christmas socks hiked up to keep his ankles warm - oh and tennis shoes! My little elf!
