We have been trying to bike ride to local places this summer. So, one of our trips was to Heritage Village. The boys always love to play pretend there. The visited their caboose and train station.
Then, we went over to the school house, where they pretended to be the teachers. When we got to the old church, Luke got up and pretended he was giving the sermon and Ben was belting out songs from his preschool graduation - I mean singing as loud as he could! Then, he went outside to the gazebo and belted out yet another school song!
We also found that the main office building at Heritage Villag now has an exhibit hall and a kids play area that has old fashioned items they can play with. As you can see from the photo, the old time phone just had Luke rolling with laughter. The bottom photo represents "Mom, take a picture of us - we're old-time farmers worn out from working on the farm!"
